Aspirational Reading
Like many readers I keep track of what I read every year & I like looking at the list as December approaches its end. But while people are making their list of favorites for 2020, I feel like I’ve still got three weeks to find another good thing.

Days and days and days
who turned the window down and surveyed all the tatters and waste and cleared his throat as if about to speak

New & Noteworthy
It’s particularly astounding considering the doomsday articles I have been reading about the overwhelming raft of books being published this month, which is dismaying for anyone with a new book.

Hotel Almighty
It’s here. Publication day for Hotel Almighty. Since it’s still the wee hours in the U.S. at this moment I can still talk about it with what the Germans call Vorfreude, or glad anticipation.

Thrall
I’ve read just shy of 600 books over the past ten years. Hopefully I’ll live another 20 years, which means I have time for 1,200 more.
