I’ve got to part with some of my collages and erasures. They have piled up and I keep making more. They’re stuffed in folders and envelopes and ring binders. I increasingly ask myself what is the point of keeping them.
I’m going to start with the repurposed postcards, which mostly combine aphorisms with collage. Some are text-less, or not aphoristic. The vintage postcards are mainly from France, where I’ve got an excellent source, but also Germany, Spain and the UK. There are surely some stray nationalities in there. All but about two are 5.5 x 3.5 inches. I love these, if I may say so, and they’ve been published widely but now I’m hoarding. They’ll be between $12-$15, which covers postage, the cost of the postcards and time. Not to oversell but an arrangement of two or three in a floating frame works really nicely if you combine the shapes and colors (or aphorisms) well.
Most of the postcards are here if you are interested.
Elsewhere in the world of postcards, a collaboration I did with Dina L. Relles will be published soon in Atlas & Alice. I fell in love with Dina’s aphorisms on Twitter and she agreed to let me use some in the postcard project. I didn’t submit our collaboration too many places — it is harder than it should be to find publications that take offbeat hybrid projects like this.

Hello, Sarah —
Are they all gone yet? I would be so thrilled to buy some. Let me know if and how this miracle could be accomplished. (If they’re not already snapped up, it would be so amazing to look at “It’s never too late to be forgotten” and “Forgetting is forgiveness enough” every day!

Hi! Yes, there are some left. I am removing the ones that are taken, so whatever is still in the linked folder is still available. Thank you for asking. I may upload some more as they turn up.
