So much of 2021 was spent inside reading

Here I am, another slacker apologizing for not posting in months. Life and work keep me busy, many surprises aren’t good, there’s always some repair to be made or needful thing to fetch, and what are all these rooms for but to move through.

After repeated attempts to get decent prints at local print shops, I’ve finally found a place online to order them on good paper. I did test prints this week and the result was vibrant and textured.

The cover of Hotel Almighty was designed by Danika Isdahl and Kristen Miller at Sarabande, who suggested the cut-out method I use with various collages in the book. I made the cover collage in a dank basement in the Austrian Alps two summers ago.

This won’t come as a surprise to anyone who’s published a book but one of the best (& worst) experiences is reading reviews on GoodReads and the like by complete strangers.
